Seula Yi (B.1990) is an artist born in Busan. After graduating from Busan Arts High School, she pursued her passion for painting at an art college. Over the years, while she has been involved domestically, it's her vibrant activities in global art hubs like New York, London, and Paris that have truly marked her journey. Most recently, she fortified her position as a contemporary artist with an exhibition in Paris. Yi's versatility in her choice of mediums reflects a clear direction, as she successfully breaks free from any conventional genre boundaries to carve out a unique canvas for herself. Yi draws inspiration from the stagnation of everyday urban life, capturing the monotony that underscores the routines of modern individuals. She has a keen eye for the subtlest of details, from the changing hues of concrete with the sun's dance to the rich tones of trees on rainy days and the mesmerizing colors of the sky at sunset.
