개개인의 경험이 쌓여 자신의 삶을 만들듯, 그림 또한 색을 올리며 자신을 찾아갑니다. 반복적인 붓칠은 한가지의 색상 속에서도 진하고 밝은 면을 은은하게 다름을 보여주며 자신만의 개성을 보여주기 시작합니다. 크게 다르지는 않지만 미묘한 차이의 색은 제게 바쁜 사회 속 잊고 지낸 개개인의 특별함을 일깨워주었습니다.

오늘의 하루를 내일 똑같이 반복할 수 없는 것처럼 내 존재 또한 그 누구도 흉내 낼 수 없는 특별한 존재입니다. 오늘의 나는 내일 존재하지 않지만, 오늘의 나는 미래의 나를 만드는 하나의 레이어이고, 삶의 레이어가 모여 우리를 만들었습니다. 바쁘고 정신 없는 세상 속 잠시 숨을 쉬고 자신을 되 돌아 보듯 저 또한 저의 그림을 위해 기다려주고 이해하며 색이 숨 쉴 수 있는 공간을 만듭니다,

Painting itself is a meditation by its own natural process. I seek a clear state of mind to better express the thoughts that emerge from my inner self. Through meditation and closed eyes, I am an imaginary canvas?black and void of color?but the black is not bleak. Despite the darkness, I see little lights?artifacts of my memories?float and dance and guide me through my mind, composing what my inner-self seeks to express and giving me ideas for different images.

Even it is single color of layers, there is darker and lighter hues showing its own character, just as our lives are built with layers of experience; my paintings and I grow together, building layers of unique colors in varying hues. It is the subtle differences of a single color that made me realize the uniqueness of everyone who appeared to have lost themselves while living a hectic life in the city.

 I search for both a pure representation of myself from within my ego and without, giving me the opportunity to explore and express new environments beyond the limits of daily life.
